Cheaper air travel in the Middle East?

Read in the Gulf Times today about the new concept airline called Bahrain Air that will start its services on 1 Feb 2008 from Bahrain to few destinations including Doha, Alexandria, Amman, Beirut, Chittagong Colombo, Damascus, Dubai, Khartoum, Kuwait, Mashad and Sanaa.

This is the 2nd national carrier for Bahrain after Gulf Air. It will also be the 2nd low cost carrier in the GCC after Sharjah based airline, AirArabia.

You can read more here.

You can start planning for your travel now especially if you plan to go Syria in February 2008 (you know who you are) ....

Another good reason to stay in Doha-a chance to travel around the Middle East. Another activity to keep us occupied..

If they do not make Doha as a hub, it is still expensive for us to travel outbound. Plus, it will take so much time if we have long transit time at Bahrain. so tak leh nak travel for weekends.

Am so jealous with ppl in UAE. Apart from having 3 so called budget airline (this includes Jazeera Airways of Kuwait) they also have normal flight yg gunakan their airport as a transit. E.g. BA for AUH-MCT, SG fly between DBX-IST etc etc... flight macam ni pun murah jugak!

kat Doha ni... kalau nak direct flight, kena lah suffer ngan QR yg overprice! hehehe... so having this bahrain ni pun tak tahu lah boleh berangan ke tak hehehe...
